The ASNEAA theme this year is “All Eyez on Me”- inspired by the nuance of #socialjustice advocates like #Tupac Shakur.

In commemoration of #HipHop’s 50th Anniversary- the goal this year is to reflect on the layers we ALL bring to the work of diversity, equity, inclusion, and safety.

If a Brooklynite and #1 Biggie fan can channel 2Pac for inspiration, I have faith that humanity can tackle the #courageousconversations unpacking our collective past.

In the esteemed words of #AfeniShakur, “You need not weep for Tupac, but weep for yourself, because we are left here with these contradictions that we still must face.” (@BET)
