ASNEAA- in partnership with The Green-Wood Cemetery- offered CLP programming at Juneteenth Family Day 2024. This year, we celebrated at the Historic Chapel- showcasing the updated ASNEAA website and centering the BIPOC heritage of CLP attendees.
CLP participants had the option of honoring the ancestors and humanity with the following arts as advocacy creative expressions projects (courtesy of Blick Art Supplies + *Green-Wood):
- BIPOC heritage exploration
- Paint Canvas’
- Flag Design*
- Legacy Bracelets
The ASNEAA BIPOC heritage exploration included trivia + book prizes again (courtesy of Brooklyn Book Bodega + in-kind donations) to promote social justice advocacy + cultural literacy. CLP participants also visited the gravesites of BIPOC social justice advocates via trolley tour.
