ASNEAA was a Sankofa vendor at the 2025 International African Arts Festival (IAAF)! CLP x IAAF participants acknowledged the Indigenous people whose land we occupy as we commemorated ALL the Patriots of the American Revolution- in commitment to ASNEAA’s mission of unpacking history and creating wholistic narratives centering Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) communities. In continuation to our celebration of Abolition Day last year at Fort Greene Park– ASNEAA invited CLP x IAAF participants to explore the website for BIPOC Heritage education + trivia. This included newly added geotags highlighting the abolition of slavery in NY aka Emancipation Day on July 5th!
This event was special because it was an opportunity for ASNEAA to scale our programming and get real impact metrics on the multi-dimensional praxis (online + in-person). And CLP x IAAF participants gave us a run for our money- as we continue to refine the “social justice” business model:
